Call for Papers

We are pleased to open the call for papers for ReimaginED Fremantle 2025 in beautiful Western Australia.

If you are interested in speaking or performing at the event, we highly recommend reviewing the following key dates and submission guidelines. Information is also provided below on our conference themes and formats, as well as our travel scholarship program.

How to apply

The Call for Papers for ReimaginED Fremantle are now open.

Proposals for all sessions will include the following:

  • What you want to contribute to the conference

  • What you want to get out of the conference

  • Objectives or purposes of the session

  • Connection to one or more of the conference themes

  • The format that you will use for your session*

  • A biography (approx. 200 words) for each of the proposed speakers

*Please note provocations are by invitation only

  • Proposal submission deadline 11 March 2025

  • Notification of successful proposals by 20 March 2025

Application Guidelines

Please note the following guidelines prior to application:

  • All applicants should address the submission requirements

  • All applications should be submitted by the relevant due date

  • Speakers are responsible for organising their own travel and accommodation

  • Conference sessions should be designed to be interactive and engaging, with opportunities for reflection and collaboration

  • Speakers are expected to engage in conference sessions and with other participants for the duration of the event

  • Sessions at the conference are dedicated to the promotion of thinking and dialogue, rather than products and services

  • Upon acceptance of their application, speakers will be offered free registration and asked to submit further details to support participation




Travel Scholarships

The organising committee for ReimaginED believe that a diversity of perspectives, experiences, and capabilities are required to support innovation and systems change in education. To help support the participation of disadvantaged and underrepresented groups at the conference, a limited number of travel scholarships are available to support attendance for speakers who have their proposals to present or facilitate a session accepted.

Criteria

Travel scholarships are open to applicants who meet both of the following criteria:

  • the applicant has an accepted proposal

  • the applicant has not received a travel scholarship in the previous two years

In addition, the applicant must meet one of the following criteria:

  • An Australian person of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage

  • An Australian person who resides in a regional, rural or remote location

  • An Australian student undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate study in Australia

Process

Write a 200 word submission stating why you would like to attend, why you want to present, what you want to learn, how the community, organisation or group you serve or represent will benefit from you attending.

Scholarship offer

Two scholarship places are available for ReimaginED24, with funding to support:

  • Flights and accommodation (within Australia)

  • Conference Registration

Each application will be carefully assessed. The successful applicants will be chosen at the sole discretion of the conference organisers, and their decision is final.
